On Feb. 14, love is in the air at 7 al fresco rooftop restaurants for Valentine's Day
When you're so in love with your significant other that you want to shout it from the roof, we've got you (un)covered this Valentine's Day with great rooftop restaurants for celebrating your sweetie under the clouds on Feb. 14, which falls on a Friday this year.
We also designate two that are better for celebrating galentine's and a very unofficial palentine's (can we make this a thing for us singletons?) with friends.
Two caveats: Several suggestions on our list are at hotels, where preference may be given to guests staying there. Downtown, one favorite is booked at night, so consider swapping dinner under the stars for love in the afternoon because time spent in sunshine boosts your serotonin levels in all the right ways.

Topside at the Beacon
The only thing better than Jupiter's inlet and lighthouse views might be sharing a seafood plateau for two. Show your loved one an extra boost of affection by adding chilled lobster for $24. The rooftop component of the complex is reservation-free, so expect some competition for seating at this casual spot. If it's too crowded for your taste, head downstairs to the complex's other dining options. Open from 4 to 9 p.m.

Bar Capri
Think of Bar Capri as a fun and sexy pizza party in the sky, where cocktails and caviar are mere introductions to a bar menu featuring a choice of 14 artisanal, significantly sized shareable pies made downstairs at the renowned Elisabetta's, then delivered to your table via elevator in a pizza box. One of two good for group dates.

RH Rooftop at Restoration Hardware
Restoration Hardware's Instagrammable RHrestaurant is among West Palm Beach's toughest reservations to score any day or night of the week, especially during season. Right now, there's some availability in the afternoon but you'll need a credit card to make your reservation. It's best to do so on OpenTable because no one picked up in two calls made, and where it's ranked as "the most booked" in town. Shareables to splurge on include Petrossian caviar service with mini lobster rolls.

Top of the Rox
Not to be confused with Rockefeller Center's famous rooftop in New York City, our second good-for-groups venue is West Palm's hot new pool party scene. A special menu for the night is in the works and reservations are strongly suggested.

Spruzzo at The Ben
Italian for splash, this rooftop palazzo setting offers fab views around the clock from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on weekends. There's even a dish for two: "arroz de mariscos" with lobster, mussels, jumbo shrimp and local white fish in a tomato-saffron-basil butter broth.
The last time we wrote about this downtown hotspot, it was walk-ins only. That has changed and Valentine's Day reservations are available on OpenTable with daytime and post-primetime availability. Winging it without a reservation is a risky proposition because this spot is jumping most nights of the week.

Treehouse at Canopy by Hilton
Treehouseis the New Year's Eve of Valentine's Day serving up its "Amor" package, a $250 four-course prix-fixe for two that includes a Champagne toast and salsa music as entertainment. Breakups happen, so keep an eye out for canceled reservations because OpenTable is showing the venue is booked.

Rosewater Rooftop by Akira Back
Rosewater Rooftop's lovely space atop The Ray Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, is one of Seoul-born chef Akira Back's 25 restaurants in his Michelin-recognized global portfolio. Fun fact: His teens were spent in Aspen, and he's a champion snowboarder.
Best availability is before 6 p.m., but if nighttime is preferred, try your luck downstairs before 6 p.m. or after 9 p.m. at his downstairs venue and head up to the roof for a post-dinner nightcap. The menu focuses on Japanese and Korean, but a slew of specials include "love ravioli" stuffed with prime rib and a Creekstone Farms center-cut Prime filet set in a cast iron hot plate or served steakhouse style. Your grand finale might be a chocolate mousse heart with cherries.
To do it right, expect to spend $150 per person before tip, tax and beverages.
