Fountains of Wayne & Sharon Van Etten to Honor Adam Schlesinger at Jersey 4 Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund Show

The remaining members of Fountains of Wayne will reunite for their first live performance in seven years to pay tribute to their late band member Adam Schlesinger, who passed away earlier this month due to complications from COVID-19.

The band's Chris Collingwood, Jody Porter and Brian Young will be joined by Sharon Van Etten to fill in on bass and backing vocals at the Jersey 4 Jersey all-star benefit for the  New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund  that will take place April 22 at 7 p.m. EST.

The bill also includes performances and appearances from  Halsey Jon Bon Jovi Bruce Springsteen SZA Charlie Puth , Saquon Barkley,  Tony Bennett , Danny DeVito, Whoopi Goldberg, Chelsea Handler, Kelly Ripa, Jon Stewart and more.

"Brian, Jody and I are honored to be part of the Jersey 4 Jersey benefit, and grateful that Sharon was able to perform with us," Collingwood said in a press statement. "Adam would have been proud that Fountains were helping to raise money for fellow New Jerseyans."

"As a New Jersey native, it means so much to me to participate in the NJPRF charitable event that gives back to this community," Van Etten mirrored. "Adam was an incredible songwriter and I am truly humbled to join Fountains of Wayne in his honor."

Schlesinger died on April 1 at age 52 from the coronavirus. He had been receiving medical care for a week after testing positive for COVID-19, and his condition was said to be  "improving."
