  • Meghan Markle faces criticism for allegedly faking making waffles for her kids on St. Patrick’s Day.

Meghan Markle is facing criticism after a photo of the waffle she claimed to have made spread online. The actor recently took to her Instagram and posted videos of herself preparing breakfast for her kids on St. Patrick's Day. However, the Duchess of Sussex, who shares Archie and Lilibet with Prince Harry, is now being accused of faking making the waffles after some eagle-eyed users caught on their appearance.

Meghan Markle's waffle confuses fans online

A photo of the waffle that  Meghan Markle  claimed to make has been garnering attention online. The 43-year-old former actor posted a series of videos on her Instagram Stories on Monday for St. Patrick's Day. The clips showed Markle, who shares two children with Prince Harry, preparing homemade waffles for breakfast. The member of the British royal family started by whipping up some green batter in a bowl and later poured the mixture into the waffle maker.

Following that, Markle shared a video of her plating the green waffles topped with a slice of kiwi, two blueberries, and some whipped cream. She wrote over the clip, "For the kids…" However, online users were quick to notice that the waffles didn't turn out in the same shape as the waffle maker. They appeared flat and were missing the dividers present in the cooking appliance. Several accused Markle of pretending to make the "homemade" waffles for her kids.

A user on X (formerly Twitter)  called out  Markle and claimed that the waffles she made "looked exactly like a store-bought one." Another accuser even compared it to Kellogg's Eggo Waffles. The users even shared photos of the machine, waffles, and the boxed item to provide a detailed comparison. They also wrote, "The math isn't mathing, Meghan!"

The Duchess of Sussex continues to face criticism for "lying" about making the St. Patrick's Day breakfast herself. However, Meghan Markle has yet to address the allegations amid the waffle drama.
