‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Showrunners Sign with CBS TV Studios
- Tony Phelan and Joan Rater have signed a two-year overall deal with CBS TV Studios, marking their first TV development deal and beginning next summer.
Tony Phelan and Joan Rater have inked a two-year overall with CBS TV Studios. Pact, which is the first TV development deal for the duo, will begin next summer.
Pair, who currently exec produce and co-showrun ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," will supervise projects for the Eye this fall, and develop their own projects for the studio when the overall kicks in in 2014.

Previously, Phelan and Rater held an exclusive two-year deal at ABC that was linked to "Grey's Anatomy."
Phelan and Rater have logged eight seasons on "Grey's," and are ending their tenure with the drama this season. They previously co-produced NBC's "Law and Order: Trial by Jury."
Rater and Phelan are repped by UTA and Myman Greenspan.
