Gisele Bündchen Has Welcomed a Baby Boy With Joaquim Valente — & His Unique Middle Name Follows a Family Theme
- Gisele Bundchen and boyfriend Joaquim Valente welcomed a baby boy, with the middle name River, following the tradition of water-related middle names for their children.
Gisele Bündchen is a mom again! The Brazilian supermodel just welcomed a baby with boyfriend Joaquim Valente, per TMZ . The outlet reported that Bündchen “recently” gave birth and is “super happy.” An insider also told the publication that both mom and baby are “healthy.”
A source later told People that the couple welcomed a baby boy. Though they didn’t share his first name, they did reveal that his middle name is River. This follows the tradition Bündchen and her ex-husband Tom Brady started by giving their kids water-related middle names.

Late last year, Bündchen showed off her bare baby bump in a teeny black bikini and sheer lace coverup while on vacation with Valente in Costa Rica. The expectant mom absolutely beamed while walking along the beach with the dad-to-be. The two even had some PDA on their romantic getaway.
A source close to the 44-year-old model confirmed last fall that she and Valente were expecting their first child together.
“Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family,” the insider told People .
The couple never publicly announced the pregnancy themselves (though, again, Bündchen has shown off her dynamic maternity style many times), so we aren’t holding our breath for an official birth announcement. Instead, we will send our deepest congratulations to the couple and to the three Brady kids on their new baby sibling.
