John Legend Has a Pre-Show ‘Pep Talk’ With Daughter Luna Just Before ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ Begins

With just minutes to go before he takes the stage for his live, televised performance in Jesus Chris Superstar Live in Concert ,John Legendspent some quality time backstage with his family.

The singer, playing the title role in the musical airing on NBC on Easter Sunday, posted a happy snapshot of himself with his and Chrissy Teigen's daughter, Luna. Legend holds her on his shoulders, while the young girl holds onto her dad's head — and everyone is all smiles.

The live TV adaptation of the rock opera, composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, features Legend,Alice CooperandSara Bareilles.

Jesus Chris Superstar airs Sunday night (April 1) at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
