Johnny Manuel Performs a Fiery Original, DaNell Daymon & Greater Works Cover Aerosmith on ‘America’s Got Talent’ Semis: Watch

The former child star impressed in the early rounds of America's Got Talen t with covers of Stevie Wonder and Whitney Houstonnumbers and won a golden buzzer for his impressive vocals.

But on Tuesday night, the R&B singer chose the big stage of the AGT semifinals to dish out a surprise original song, "Blind Faith." His fiery performance warmed up the the audience and appeared to work a treat with the judges. "So happy I followed my heart and did an original song tonight," he tweeted after the performance. Watch it below.
It wasn't the only surprise of the night. DaNell Daymon & the Greater Works, a collection of gospel singers from across the country, unleashed a cover of Aerosmith's 1998 power ballad "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing."
