The Lafayette Concert Bands' 'Sounds of Season' makes its return
This holiday season, the Lafayette Concert Band invites you to embrace your festive side — and this time, ugly Christmas sweaters are encouraged.
The band will perform its annual "Sounds of the Season" concert at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, in the Ducrest/Gilfry Auditorium at Angelle Hall on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus, according to Gerald Guilbeaux, conductor for the Lafayette Concert Band.
This event features an afternoon of classic holiday music that will have the audience humming along to timeless tunes like "Greensleeves," "Sleigh Ride," and "The Twelve Days of Christmas."
This is a great opportunity to don your favorite Holiday threads (ugly or not) for an unforgettable afternoon of music, according to Guilbeaux.
Santa Claus is also expected to make a special appearance, adding an extra sprinkle of holiday magic to the festivities.
General admission tickets may be purchased at the door the day of the concert for $10 and children under 12 will be admitted free of charge.
