Lana Del Rey Pushes Back ‘Chemtrails Over the Country Club,’ Promises Another Album by Christmas
Lana Del Rey has good news and bad news for her fans. The bad news is that she's delaying the release of her upcoming album Chemtrails Over the Country Club by 16 weeks.
The good news? She's planning to release a record filled with "American standards and classics for Christmas" to tide them over.

In an Instagram Live on Tuesday (Nov. 3), Del Rey posted up with her friend at a Denny's restaurant while the two kept abreast of any more votes coming in for the 2020 election. And in the thick of the anticipation last night, she dropped her own bombshell announcement.
" Chemtrails Over the Country Club … 16-week delay on the vinyl process," she said in the three-minute IGTV clip posted later. "So in the meantime, I'm going to give you a digital record of American standards and classics for Christmas, because I can't get the record plants to open until March 5th."
Del Rey also recorded an acapella version of "You'll Never Walk Alone" yesterday for a documentary about Liverpool FC . The track originated from the Rodgers & Hammerstein musical Carousel , but the notorious 1963 cover by Gerry & The Pacemakers has served as the longtime anthem of the Premier League champs and soccer fans.
The 35-year-old singer-songwriter released "Let Me Love You Like a Woman" as the first single ahead of Chemtrails on Oct. 16. She assured in the IG clip that she has finished her upcoming album and that "it's folky, it's beautiful, it's super different from Norman [F—ing Rockwell] ."
