Age is just a number when it comes to going au naturel!

While the media frequently  presents images of younger, unclothed celebs , there's a league of older stars challenging outdated societal norms by flaunting their bodies in the buff.

In a revealing  Instagram post  in 2022, former supermodel  Paulina Porizkova discussed society's objectification of women  while reclaiming her sexuality at an older age.

"In a patriarchal society, women have always been seen as objects of desire or nurture... This is why youth and beauty are such a strong currency," she captioned. "I've come to wonder if objectification falls mainly into the realm of youth. When I was a young model exposing my body, it was because someone else approved of it."

She continued, "Now when I expose my body, it [is] with my full knowledge and consent. Hence, celebration."

From Porizkova's cheeky mirror selfie to  Naomi Campbell 's topless  i-D  magazine cover, here are some celebs over 50 who've struck a pose naked.

Paulina Porizkova

Porizkova has an archive of Instagram photos that prove angles are everything. Exhibit A: this bathroom butt selfie (a.k.a. a "belfie") she  snapped during a trip to Rome  in 2021.

"My hotel Eden in Rome, has, besides a beautiful room I'm staying in, this pretty happening bathroom," the model captioned the risqué photo. "After work and a leisurely bath,  I was bored , which led to this celebration of narcissism, the naked selfie."

Suzanne Somers

In 2019, the late  Suzanne Somers  famously posed topless in  a sultry Instagram photo  shot by her husband,  Alan Hamel .

"We were walking on the hillside road [on her property], and I think it was like June. It was hot and dry," she explained in 2020. "I said, 'Oh my god, the foliage here is the same color as my hair.' Because, by that time, all the weeds and bushes had turned yellow."

"So I got down and said, 'Take a picture of me. The weeds will look like my hair,' " Somers said. " I took my top down  because I was with my husband, and he took that great picture."

Naomi Campbell

Campbell  posed topless  on the cover of  i-D  magazine's Spring 2021 issue. She also risked it all in the name of fashion when she  went nude in the notoriously dirty New York City Subway  for Valentino's Pre-Fall 2019 accessories campaign in July 2020.

The supermodel sat on the train — sans clothing — with just a black studded handbag draped on her shoulder for the spot. She was also photographed waiting on the platform using only a bag to cover herself.

Halle Berry

Berry  posted several jaw-dropping Instagram photos  in May 2021, including  this topless shot  snapped from behind and appropriately captioned, "naked truth…"

The  Academy Award -winning actress also  went braless during a campaign shoot  in 2021 for her lifestyle and wellness brand Re-spin.

Elizabeth Hurley

Hurley often flaunts her impressive figure  on Instagram  in tiny bikinis, figure-hugging silhouettes and dresses with plunging necklines.

In March 2021, the bombshell actress  shared a photo  of herself  sitting on a bed of hay totally nude  ... beauty is pain, right? Two months prior, she  posted this topless snap  with the caption, " How could I resist? " Touché, Liz. Touché.

Helena Christensen

Helena Christensen  stripped down for her  Harper's Bazaar España  (Spain) cover shoot. Inside the August 2020 issue, the supermodel was  photographed swimming completely nude , wearing a striking red lipstick and shimmery eyeshadow.

She's since bared her assets on Instagram, often  modeling sexy pieces  from her Staerk & Christensen ready-to-wear collection.

Stephanie Seymour

Stephanie Seymour landed  Vogue Italia ' s August 2019 issue alongside fellow '90s icon  Claudia Schiffer , for which they each took their own selfies — while nearly naked.

The supermodel  posed nude in one photo , wearing only a necklace and black belt while a camera tripod was strategically placed to cover her nether regions. In the second pic, Seymour donned a feathery green coat with black dotted tights while striking a dramatic pose.

Madonna

In March 2020,  Madonna  revealed on Instagram that she had an onstage injury when "a chair was literally pulled out from underneath me by mistake."

A few months later, the "Vogue" singer  shared a now-deleted mirror selfie , posing topless while leaning on a clutch. Clad only in black underwear, a sparkling hat and some jewelry, she captioned the photo with a cheeky message: "Everyone has a Crutch."

Ricki Lake

In June 2023,  Ricki Lake  celebrated what she described as "the best days of [her] life" with  a nude photo on Instagram . In the picture, the former talk show host is captured outdoors, sitting in a running bathtub with a big smile, her head lifted towards the sky, and her arms covering her chest.

"Hands down,  these days are the best of my life ," she wrote. "54 1/2 years old (young!) Grateful for all that had to happen for me to get to here. A place of complete self-acceptance and self-love."

Lisa Rinna

Shortly after her 60th birthday in July 2023,  Lisa Rinna  marked the occasion  with a full-frontal mirror selfie , with brown emojis covering her nipples and vagina.

"Moira Rose says you should take as many naked pics of yourself while you still can and celebrate it," the  Real Housewives of Beverly Hills  alum wrote on her Instagram Stories, nodding to the  Schitt's Creek  character played by  Catherine O'Hara . "OK, Moira."

Rinna was alluding to a scene from the  Schitt's Creek  season 2 episode, "Moira's Nudes," when Moira tells Stevie Budd ( Emily Hampshire ): "Take a thousand naked pictures of yourself now. You may currently think, 'Oh, I'm too spooky.' Or, 'Nobody wants to see these tiny boobies.' But, believe me, one day you will look at those photos with much kinder eyes and say, 'Dear God, I was a beautiful thing!' "
