Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Luis Fonsi, Adam Lambert & More Honor LGBTQ Youth on Spirit Day 2018

Thursday (Oct. 18) marks Spirit Day 2018, GLAAD's campaign that sees celebrities and public figures express their support for LGBTQ young people by by wearing purple, purpling up their social media presences and shouting out Spirit Day on air.

Britney Spears , Barbra Streisand, Luis Fonsi, Adam Lambert, Sterling K. Brown, Troye Sivan, Sia, Allison Janney, the Boy Erased cast and plenty of other prominent celebrities, brands and media presences have taken the time to celebrate Spirit Day and honor LGBTQ youth by sharing messages of support and solidarity.

Other celebrities took their Spirit Day festivities to new heights. Lambert launched a fundraiser in commemoration of Spirit Day. Not one to be outdone, Mariah Carey shared a fabulous Spirit Day video message all the way from Asia on Instagram. (Even though she's not in purple, she celebrates with an iconic Spirit Day chant.)
