On his feet, Jordan wore a pair of Maison Margiela's Tabi Chelsea boot. The boots feature a square toe and the designer's much-talked-about Tabi toe. The company puts the Tabi toe, which features a split in the toe area, on every shoe and it has become a signature found in Margiela's designs.

The actor's boot has a thick, lug-sole that provides about 1.5 inches. With a bordeaux red calf leather upper, the shoe is a fairly classic Chelsea silhouette. It includes the elasticated side panels which are usually indicative of the Chelsea style. The Maison Margiela Tabi Chelsea 40mm leather boots are available on retailers like FarFetch for around $1,500.

Margiela first launched its Tabi shoes in 1988 , inspired by the Japanese Tabi socks. Since then the company has rendered multiple footwear silhouettes in the style: ballet flats, penny loafers, boots, pumps and more. Last year the brand debuted a small collection of couture styles with Christian Louboutin . This year they followed that up with a larger line with Louboutin , all sporting the Margiela Tabi toe and Louboutin trademark red sole.

The Chelsea boot has floated in and out of fashion for decades. They were originally designed as a utilitarian style, created by J. Sparkes-Hall for Queen Victoria to wear during horse riding. At the time, they were known as Paddock boots. When the Chelsea set began waring them in the 1950s and 1960s, the silhouette began to be known as Chelsea boots, sometimes sported with Cuban heels.

Hedi Slimane often has incorporated the shoes in his designs at brands like Dior Homme, Saint Laurent and more. His work at Saint Laurent caused the silhouette to trend in the 2010s. It became so popular that some began to dub the shoe the "brunch boot."
