Michael Strahan Shares Bold Opinion of 'Hot Ones'
  • Michael Strahan expressed his reluctance to do the Hot Ones challenge live on Good Morning America, while Robin Roberts took on the spicy chicken wing challenge on live television.

Michael Strahan , former NFL player and current co-anchor on Good Morning America , shared his stern stance on the talk show Hot Ones , in which a celebrity guest eats exceedingly spicier chicken wings on camera.

During the morning show on Sept. 5, Robin Roberts took on the Hot Ones challenge on live television, but beforehand, she broke down the decision with Strahan and George Stephanopoulos

"I do like the challenge. We'll see what happens," she said, before Strahan jumped in with his opinion, saying, "I love the show. I will do the show, I just wouldn't do it live. I'm just sayin'."

Roberts joked, "I noticed you wouldn't, so that's why I'm doing it."

After Strahan declared that he wasn't brave enough to do the Hot Ones challenge live, Roberts followed through with her promise, facing off with host Sean Evanson the morning show.

Evans noted that Roberts was the first one to do the Hot Ones show live, while it was also the earliest in the day that it was ever done. As she tried the different hot chicken wings, Strahan and her other co-stars cheered her on nearby.

After tasting the hottest wing, Roberts jokingly pointed to the ceiling and said, "I'm comin' to see you, Mama!" as she recovered from the spice level, and Strahan's recognizable laugh could be heard in the background.

The Hot Ones YouTube show began in 2015 and has had many big names as guests including Ariana Grande, Al Roker, Travis Kelce, Halle Berryand more.
