SIMON FULLER EYES BID FOR CONCORD: UK Music impresarioSimon Fuller, the Spice Girls former manager and creator of the "Idol" TV franchise, is planning to bid on American record label Concord Music Groupthat includes Sir Paul McCartney and Joni Mitchell among its roster, according to Sky News.Fuller's interest in acquiring Concord comes as he also pursues an offer for Parlophone, one of UMG's divested assets following the EMI acquisition.Concord, which is expected to command a price-tag of approximately $125 million, formed eight years ago following the merger between Concord Records and Fantasy Records

FACEBOOK AGREES TO PAY AS MANY AS 2 MILLION USERS $10 EACH IN SETTLEMENT:Facebook Inc. persuaded a judge to grant preliminary approval of a $20 million settlement of a lawsuit claiming it used subscribers' names without their permission to advertise products in its "Sponsored Stories."Under the revised settlement, users can claim a $10 payment, and funds left over will go to advocacy groups.An earlier settlement proposed by the company would have given users no payment, while lawyers for plaintiffs would receive as much as $10 million, according to filings in federal court in San Francisco.
