Chris Stapleton drops new music video, featuring actor Josh Brolin, ahead of CMA Awards
If it feels like not a week goes by without some big announcement involving Kentucky native Chris Stapleton , you're not wrong.
Not only is the country music superstar nominated for four awards at the 68th annual Grammy Awards and three awards at the 2025 CMA show, held on Nov. 19, Stapleton has just released the official music video for his award winning song "White Horse," featuring acclaimed actor Josh Brolin ("No Country For Old Men," "True Grit").
The cinematic video was filmed in Marfa, Texas and stars Brolin alongside Mae McKagan and Tommy Martinez , as well as appearances by Stapleton and his wife and collaborator, Morgane .
"Listening to 'White Horse' over and over again, we visualized a couple on the run and wanted to add some complexity with the parental sheriff relationship between Mae and Josh's characters," video producer Stephen Kinigopoulos said in a statement. "What was just going to be an action-packed love story, also became a story about letting go and trust."

The prolific singer songwriter is in contention to become the most winning artist in CMA history on Nov. 19.
Nominated for Male Vocalists of the Year, Entertainer of the Year and Video of the Year for "It Takes A Woman," Stapleton heads into the 59th Annual CMA Awards having already won 19 awards. He is currently tied with country music duo Brooks & Dunn, which are nominated for one award in 2025.
In addition, Stapleton could extend his record for the most wins in the Male Vocalist Of The Year category, which he has won eight times (2015-2018, 2021-2024).
Stapleton also could get rid of his "record" as the most nominated individual in the Entertainer Of The Year category without a win. He's been nominated nine times but has never brought home the trophy.
