Who is Coco Jones? What to know about the Super Bowl singer from TN
One of Tennessee's own will hit the stage at Super Bowl XL.
Grammy Award-winning R&B singer and "Bel-Air" actress Coco Jones will perform "Lift Every Voice and Sing," the Black National Anthem, ahead of the game at Levi's Stadium on Feb. 8.
She joins the lineup alongside Charlie Puth, who will sing the National Anthem and Brandi Carlile, who will perform "America the Beautiful."
Jones' performance at Levi's Stadium will air on NBC and Peacock before the New England Patriots close out the season in Super Bowl 60 against the Seattle Seahawks .

Where is Coco Jones from?
Jones is a 28-year-old R&B singer who was born in South Carolina but raised in Lebanon, Tennessee, about 25 miles from Nashville.
Jones is the daughter of former NFL player Mike Jones and session violinist Javonda Jones.
How did Coco Jones get her start?
Jones began her career on the Disney Channel shows "So Random!," "Let It Shine" and "Good Luck Charlie," releasing music as early as 2011 when she was 13.
Jones broke into the music world with her hit "ICU" in 2022, a part of her EP "What I Didn't Tell You."
The song won best R&B performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards, where Jones also clinched a Grammy nomination for best new artist.
Is Coco Jones an actress?
Yes, Coco Jones is an actress in addition to her R&B music career.
Jones appeared in the Peacock drama "Bel-Air" from 2022-2025, playing Hilary Banks, an influencer and aspiring chef.

Coco Jones' honors Tennessee roots with visits to TSU
While Jones is now primarily based in Los Angeles, California, she maintains strong ties to Tennessee.
She is a champion of Tennessee State University, visiting to speak to students about the music industry in 2023 and 2025.
"Running with trusting your own opinion at the same level as you trust the talents of everyone in the room has let me finally work to 100% of my potential," Jones told students at TSU in 2025.
"After a career defined by grueling trial and error, I've discovered the chemistry that allows me to balance my life and my work. I'm not new to this — but now I'm true to this."
