In the wake of Noah Kahan's show at the Philadelphia Phillies ' stadium, the MLB has made a joke about the "poopgate" incident that occurred at Citizens Bank Park on Friday, June 26, 2026 .
The Phillies' first home game after Kahan's show was on Monday, June 29, 2026, and it was against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Ironically, during the early goings of the game before anyone scored, the scoreboard resembled "poop" since the teams' names begin with "p" and the score was 0-0.
The MLB's official account even made a joke, posting a picture of the scoreboard and writing, "[Noah Kahan,] what do you know about poop & Citizens Bank Park?" in response to the folk singer's request for fans to use the restroom if they have to go at his shows.

During Kahan's concert at Citizens Bank Park, a fan allegedly defecated during the concert. They left it on the ground, which caused a stir online.
Kahan issued a statement after the incident went viral on social media. His response has garnered over 12.6 million views on X, formerly Twitter, writing, "If you have to poop at a show please dear god just go to the bathroom lmao I've pooped my pants as much as the next 29 year old but you guys gotta understand there's a venue worker out there with a 1000 yard stare after dealing with that."
In fairness to the fan, the "Stick Season" singer has gone through a similar situation. He alleged that he "s**t myself onstage" during a concert in Charlottesville. However, in his defense, he is just "dedicated to my craft."
At the following concert in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Kahan made his fans swear that they wouldn't follow in the Philadelphia fan's footsteps. Hopefully, the Philadelphia incident was a one-and-done affair.
