Kid Rock rips reports he sells $5K concert tickets; says he sells $5K concert tickets
Kid Rock has been in the headlines plenty across the past couple weeks, and the singer took to social media on Friday to rip reports about ticket pricing at his concerts.
"Here we go again," he posted on X. "The fake liberal media says I'm charging $5,000 for front-row tickets. They know damn well that's not the full story."
Kid Rock then explained that he is … selling tickets to his concerts for $5,000.
"Those are extremely limited First Class seats like I explained — FOUR tickets per row, first five rows only (5K per seat row 1, 4K row 2, 3K row 3, 2K row 4, 1K row 5) — Again ONLY 4 seats in rows 1 through 5 (20 'first class' seats in venues that hold 15K to 25K people).
"But instead of reporting facts or that lawn seats are only 50 bucks or how we are cutting out the scalpers, they twist it for the headlines/clicks to attack me — nothing new here. I WILL pray for them but I know that sooner or later God will cut 'em down."
The replies probably are not going the way he imagined they might.
"Says 'The fake liberal media says I'm charging $5,000 for front-row tickets,'" one person wrote. "Then explains that he is, in fact, charging $5,000 for front-row tickets."
"So you are charging $5,000 for front-row tickets," another wrote.
"Report: 'Kid rock performed to an audio track,'" another replied. "Kid Rock: Liberal media lies; here is a video I made showing that I performed to an audio track. Report: 'Prices as high as $5K for front row at Kid Rock show.' Kid Rock: Liberal Media lies! Here is a written explanation of the $5K front row seats for my upcoming show. Thanks for clearing that up Bobby."
"Si in conclusion you ARE charging 5K per seat … just not all seats," another wrote.
"Kinda sounds like you're charging $5K for front row tix," another wrote.
"You just said this was fake news and then literally confirmed it was true," another wrote. "What an inbred moron."
And there were plenty more folks with similar sentiments in the comments.
It will be interesting to see if Kid Rock has anything else to say about the reports.
