Ok, so we've made past the midway point of the South Florida summer and no one has melted. Stay hydrated, wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing then get out and enjoy the Party in Paradise tribute to Jimmy Buffett, high-flying action at the Jupiter BMX Jam, the aquatic adventures at the Whatever Floats Your Boat party and more.

In addition to the top five events listed there's always something great happening at places like The Norton Museum of Art or the Maltz Jupiter Theatre. On top of that you could always just enjoy a great meal with an equally great view at one of Palm Beach County's waterfront restaurants from Jupiter to Boca Raton. 1. Party in Paradise: Delray Beach's Tribute to Jimmy Buffett

The Caribbean Chillers will take you on a tropical journey on Friday, Aug. 30 during the Party in Paradise: Delray's Tribute to Jimmy Buffet at Old School Square.

This ultimate throwdown will feature the reggae band Cape Universal Band, South Florida's beloved good-time party band Spred the Dub and the Jimmy Buffett tribute band The Caribbean Chillers. There also will be a limbo contest and a costume contest along with plenty of food and beverages available for purchase.

2. Jupiter BMX Jam at Jupiter Skate Park

Watch as riders take to the skies during the Jupiter BMX Jam on Saturday, Aug. 30 at Jupiter Skate Park.

Whether you participate or just watch, this gravity-defying event is not to be missed. Watch as riders hit the ramps and perform amazing stunts as they compete in multiple age brackets.

3. Sunrise Yoga with 1 Fitness at Hilton West Palm Beach

Stretch, strengthen and lengthen during a sunrise yoga session on Sunday, Aug. 31 at Hilton West Palm Beach.

Greet the sun and let 1 Fitness guide you through yoga sequences designed to warm up the mind, body, and spirit, as well as focus on alignment, strength, balance, and flexibility. After the session reward yourself with a complimentary mimosa or orange juice from Mezze. All levels.

4. Fire Truck Pull at Gardens Park

The 3rd Annual Fire Truck Pull will be held Saturday, Aug. 30 at Gardens Park in Palm Beach Gardens.

Don't miss this third annual family-friendly fundraiser where teams of local businesses, organizations, and individuals compete to see who can pull a real 30,000-pound fire truck the fastest. The event raises vital funds to support students and adults with autism who attend Connections Education Center .

5. Whatever Floats Your Boat at Guanabanas

Sure, tranquil now, but on Saturday, Aug. 30 Guanabanas in Jupiter will be the site of some seriously fun, and sort of fast, competition during the Whatever Floats Your Boat party.

Presented by Blueline Paddle, this one-of-a-kind dockside party is a floating celebration that will feature homemade floating vessels, friendly competition and creative outfits. Participants will race their DIY crafts on a short course in front of the docks, with awards for best in show, best frankencraft, dock-to-dock champ and crowd favorite. Ridiculous ideas, squirt guns and good vibes welcome. Must pre-register.

Double bonus: Jurassic Quest and Brick Fest Live at South Florida Fairgrounds

Jurassic Quest and Brick Fest Live will run Friday, Aug. 29 to Sunday, Aug. 31 at the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach.

This double shot of fun will feature North America's most popular interactive dinosaur experience and the top family LEGO-inspired event together under one roof for a "dino-mite" weekend of fun. There will be life-size animatronic dinosaurs along with over one million LEGOS.
