Just when you think more can't be said about any of The Beatles, a piece of media comes along that shows us another side of some of the most celebrated musicians of all time. Paul McCartney took part in a documentary titled Man on the Run , which arrived on Amazon Prime Video last month. The project comes with its own soundtrack, and the album launches on multiple Billboard charts this week. As Man on the Run gets off to a top 10 start, McCartney appears on one tally for the first time on his own.

Paul McCartney Reaches the Soundtracks Chart With Man on the Run

McCartney hits Billboard's Soundtracks chart this week, landing on the list of the most consumed musical full-lengths and EPs attached to another piece of media for the first time as a soloist. Man on the Run debuts at No. 5.

The Beatles Previously Dominated the Soundtracks Ranking

As one-quarter of The Beatles, McCartney has not only landed on the Soundtracks chart in the past, he's conquered it. The Fab Four sent both Let It Be and Help! to the summit on the Soundtracks roster, while Magical Mystery Tour missed out on ruling by just one space. Three other titles, A Hard Day's Night , Yellow Submarine Songtrack and Yellow Submarine peaked at Nos. 4, 5, and 6, respectively.

Paul McCartney Accounts for Half of the Chart's Debuts This Week

McCartney is responsible for 50% of the debuts on the current Soundtracks chart this week. He beats Bridgerton: Season Four (Covers from the Netflix Series) , which launches at No. 14.

Two other titles bound back onto the Soundtracks chart, joining McCartney and the latest from the Bridgerton universe. Frozen: The Songs reenters at No. 6, while Nine Inch Nails' Tron: Ares can once again be found at No. 18. That latter score is back in people's minds again after Nine Inch Nails delivered a surprise remix version of the album titled Tron Ares: Divergence .

Man on the Run Also Launches on the Vinyl Albums Chart

Man on the Run only hits the top 10 on one other Billboard list, the Vinyl Albums chart. The soundtrack debuts at No. 10, narrowly sneaking into the region in.

Man on the Run is one of seven debuts inside the Vinyl Albums chart's top 10. The roster is ruled by The Romantic , the first solo Bruno Mars full-length in nearly a decade. Mitski, Gorillaz, Geese, Zach Bryan, and Rob Zombie also launch projects on the tally just ahead of McCartney.

Paul McCartney Collects His Milestone Fifteenth Vinyl Albums Top 10

The rock superstar earns his milestone fifteenth top 10 win on the Vinyl Albums chart as Man on the Run barely breaks into that coveted space. The soundtrack is on the same level as One Hand Clapping , credited to McCartney and Wings, which opened in tenth place in the summer of 2024.

Man on the Run Misses the Top 10 on Top Album Sales List

Man on the Run also manages to appear on the Top Album Sales chart, but unlike on the Soundtracks and Vinyl Albums rankings, it doesn't make it to the top 10. Man on the Run instead kicks off its time at No. 13 with 7,300 pure purchases, according to Luminate.
