'Queen of Latin Music' Makes Career History With 79th Billboard Milestone

Shakirahas hit a lot of milestones over her three-decade career, but she just notched her 79th trip to the top of a Billboard chart, and this latest one comes with a first.

Her collaboration with Burna Boy, 'Dai Dai,' the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, just gave her a brand-new notch: her first-ever No. 1 on the Rhythmic Airplay chart. The song jumped from No. 3 to the top spot, marking Shakira's 12th career entry on that particular chart and just her second time cracking its top 10.

It's the latest win in a jaw-dropping run for 'Dai Dai,' which has topped charts across the globe since its debut at the World Cup's opening ceremony in Mexico City back in June. Between its radio success, sales performance and streaming numbers, the song has racked up No. 1s on more than a dozen charts worldwide, including extended stays atop the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. rankings.

With her latest Rhythmic Airplay crown factored in, Shakira's overall Billboard tally now sits at 79 No. 1s. On the single-track side alone, she's claimed 73 chart-toppers, including 25 on Latin Pop Airplay, 24 on Latin Airplay, 13 on Hot Latin Songs, four on Latin Digital Song Sales, two apiece on the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, one on the flagship Billboard Hot 100 (thanks to 'Hips Don't Lie'), one on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100, and now one on Rhythmic Airplay. Add in six more No. 1s across albums and touring, five on the Top Latin Albums chart and one on the Billboard Boxscore Midyear Tour chart, and the grand total climbs to 79.

Shakira has spent decades bouncing between genres, languages, and audiences, and this year's World Cup spotlight has only added fuel to her momentum.
