SPAC announces $19.66 lawn tickets for Philly Orchestra, New York City Ballet
Saratoga Performing Arts Center will offer $19.66 lawn seats to most performances for the New York City Ballet and Philadelphia Orchestra 's summer residencies.

"As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, the $19.66 ticket initiative honors that legacy while reaffirming our commitment to accessibility - ensuring that performances by New York City Ballet and The Philadelphia Orchestra remain within reach for as many members of our community as possible."
The $19.66 deal is a nod to SPAC's 60th anniversary with the price reflecting the year the amphitheater opened as a summer home for the ballet company and orchestra. Skidmore College and the Times Union co-sponsored the promotion.
All performances of the New York City Ballet's season will be eligible. This summer's two programs are "Innovators and Icons," a mixed bill that includes a new work by Tiler Peck, "Serenade" by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins' "Opus 19/The Dreamer," and "A Midsummer Night's Dream," the full-length ballet adaptation of Shakespeare's romantic comedy that christened New York City Ballet's new summer home 60 years ago, running July 8-11.
As for the Philadelphia Orchestra, a majority of its residency is eligible for the deal. The four exclusions are: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1" in concert, "Star Wars: A New Hope" in concert, Josh Groban's Philadelphia Orchestra debut and Gregory Alan Isakov, who will close the season. The reduced cost lawn seats will be available for all other concerts including "American Dreams" with Brian Stokes Mitchell on Aug. 7, Marin Alsop conducting a Tchaikovsky spectacular on Aug. 5 and Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, under the baton of Yannick Nézet-Séguin, music and artistic director of the Philadelphia Orchestra, on Aug. 15. In addition to the $19.66 lawn seats, SPAC previously announced other deals to make performances financially accessible. For the New York City Ballet, this includes $40 amphitheater tickets for patrons 40 years old and younger, a $99 family four-pack of amphitheater seats and an expansion of the venue's "Kids in Free" program, which will allow children up to age 16, with an accompanying adult, free lawn access and 50% off amphitheater tickets; this program is usually restricted to kids age 12 and under. The $40 under 40, family-four pack and "Kids in Free" programs are also available for the Philadelphia Orchestra, though the latter is restricted to kids age 12 and younger. Classical season lawn passes are also available for the two residencies.
The $19.66 lawn seats are available now via spac.org; online sales include service fees. For those who prefer buying tickets in person, SPAC will open its box office for the season on May 16. Note that lawn seating for SPAC-produced events - including the New York City Ballet, Philadelphia Orchestra and Saratoga Jazz Festival - are not subject to Live Nation's ban on outside lawn chairs .
