Trump-backing country music icon ripped for Bible spot on Fox: ‘Sick criminal cult’
Few country music artists have been as supportive of Donald Trump as Lee Greenwood.
In fact, the two are kind of in business together.
Head on over to GodBlessTheUSA.com and you can find Greenwood's "God Bless The USA" Bibles for sale. The basic one is just $59.99. But there is also a "Presidential Edition Bible" for folks who want Trump's name on their good book, and it goes for $99.99. Want a "First Lady Edition" with Melania Trump's name on it? That one is also $99.99, and you can get one with JD Vance's name on it for $99.99, too.
This has been going on for a while, but Greenwood brought it all back to the forefront with an appearance on "Fox & Friends" on Feb. 16. Toward the end of the interview, Greenwood brought out his Bible, and made a sales pitch.
"I wanted to make sure you understand that I have this Bible," he said. "This is the God Bless the U.S.A. Bible, talking about my song, and this is something that everyone needs in their home. GodBlessUSABible.com, you can get one of these for Easter. Give it as a gift. I have one for all of you."
A person can get a Bible for free in a lot of places, and for around $4 on Amazon, and that was a fact not lost on many folks on social media who saw the segment. And many also though it off-putting to peddle Bibles with the president's name on the front.
"LOL, now Lee Greenwood is on the Bible grift: the 'God Bless the USA Bible' available now!" the BigBlueWave2026 account on X wrote. "Coming soon: Kid Rock's 'Bawitdaba bible' and Ted Nugent's 'Cat Scratch Fever Bible.' But all three and avoid the #TrumpTariff. MAGA is a sick, criminal cult."
"Forget about the prayer cloth … you need their Bible, for the low Christian price of 100 dollars," Kimberly Chandler wrote on X.
"Greenwood was one of the merchants ripping people off in the Temple when Christ entered it and overturned the tables," Eric Lent wrote.
"Nope, I like and respect my Bible the way it should be," Alexandra Reyes wrote.
"Will the purchase of the $60-$100 Bible be enough for me to get to heaven (or) will I have to read it as well?" Santa Fe Sooner wrote.
"The grift NEVER stops," M.D.S. wrote on X. "We got a Lee greenwood BIBLE before we got GTA 6."
There were plenty more comments like that on X.
Greenwood's site had Bibles autographed by Trump that were selling for $1,000 at one point last year. USA Today reported in 2025 that Trump officially endorsed the Bible in March 2024. The site said then that Trump has reportedly received $300,000 in royalties from the sale of the Bible.
