Twenty One Pilots Chart A New No. 1 Album In America

Twenty One Pilots returns to the Billboard charts this week with a new album titled More Than We Ever Imagined: Live in Mexico City . The live set accompanies the film of the same name, which hit theaters earlier this year. Now, the alternative duo has made even more out of its massive concert in Mexico with a successful album in addition to a box office win.

More Than We Ever Imagined opens on five Billboard rankings. As it launches, the title begins its run inside the top 10 on several rosters. The full-length even manages to bring the Grammy winners back to the summit on one list.

Twenty One Pilots Returns to No. 1

More Than We Ever Imagined debuts atop Billboard's Vinyl Albums chart this week. The tally looks only at the bestselling titles of any style on vinyl in the United States. The band earns its fifth leader on the tally, as the live collection joins Blurryface , Trench , Clancy and Breach , which have all spent time at the summit as well.

Among those five champions, only Blurryface held on at No. 1 for more than one frame. The group's breakout full-length spent two weeks running the show on the vinyl rundown.

Twenty One Pilots Has Charted Eight Vinyl Top 10 Bestsellers

Nine projects by Twenty One Pilots have reached the Vinyl Albums chart throughout the band's career. Only one of those releases, an EP titled Location Sessions , missed the top 10.

Every other set has either worked its way No. 1, or peaked at No. 3. Vessel , Blurryface Live and Scaled and Icy all stopped climbing in third place, while the band's other vinyl hits ranked as the top vinyl seller in the country for a short while.

Nine Albums Debut on the Vinyl Chart This Week

The Vinyl Albums chart features only 25 spaces, and this time around, nine of them are occupied by debuts. Joining Twenty One Pilots inside the top 10 are newly-released projects by Weezer, Brandon Flowers and Stella Lefty. New titles from Insane Clown Posse, The Cramps, Kiss, Sophie and Staind also launch on the vinyl ranking, and they all enter underneath the top 10.

Twenty One Pilots lands a top 10 debut on one other Billboard -sanctioned roster this week. More Than We Ever Imagined is new at No. 5 on the Top Album Sales chart. The set starts in that position with just under 15,900 pure purchases to its credit. That figure includes sales on vinyl as well as CD and digital download. The duo has now racked up 11 bestsellers on the sales-only tally, and seven of them have bolted into the top 10.

Twenty One Pilots Debuts on Three Additional Charts

More Than We Ever Imagined debuts on another three Billboard rankings this week. The live set starts at No. 12 on the Top Rock Albums chart, No. 13 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums tally and No. 50 on the Billboard 200.

Twenty One Pilots has appeared on the Billboard 200 and the bigger of the two rock albums lists with 11 projects, but More Than We Ever Imagined earns the band its milestone tenth winner on the Top Rock Albums ranking as it debuts.

While Twenty One Pilots claims the most impressive debut on the Vinyl Albums chart, the band settles for the third-highest arrival on the Top Album Sales list. K-pop boy band Enhypen rules with its latest, The Sin: Bliss , which also conquers the Billboard 200. It's the group's first No. 1 on that competitive tally.

A new self-titled project by Weezer – this time associated with the color gold – launches one space ahead of More Than We Ever Imagined on the sales chart.
