  • Arian Moayed and Alex Karpovsky have been cast in recurring roles for Season 2 of Netflix's romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This, with Moayed playing Dr. Andy, a psychotherapist who may be a perfect match for Joanne's sister Morgan, and Karpovsky playing Big Noah, an overly confident rabbi at Noah's temple.

EXCLUSIVE: Morgan (Justine Lupe) is getting a new love interest and Noah’s (Adam Brody) is getting a new work rival in Season 2 of Netflix’s Nobody Wants This. Succession alum Arian Moayed and Alex Karpovsky ( Girls ) have been tapped for recurring roles on the hit romantic comedy series headlined by Kristen Bell and Brody.

In a major arc, Moayed will play Dr. Andy, a charming, highly regarded (particularly by himself) psychotherapist who might just be the perfect match for Joanne’s (Bell) sister Morgan (Lupe). Karpovsky will play Big Noah, an overly confident rabbi at Noah’s (Brody) temple.

The duo join previously cast Miles Fowler, appearing in two episodes as Noah’s (Brody) basketball teammate, who gets set up with Morgan; and Leighton Meester, who will guest star in an episode as Joanne’s middle school nemesis.

Created by Erin Foster, Nobody Wants This follows an agnostic podcast host and an unconventional rabbi on the rebound walk into a party. When they walk out — together — the unlikely pair, Joanne (Bell) and Noah (Brody), can tell there is something between them. But also potentially between them, with their differing outlooks on life, all of the modern obstacles to love, and their sometimes well-meaning, sometimes sabotaging families — including her sister Morgan (Lupe) and his brother Sasha (Timothy Simons).

Nobody Wants This premiered in September 2024 and quickly became one of Netflix’s most popular comedies ever, earning an early Season 2 renewal. Erin Foster and Sara Foster executive produce alongside new showrunners Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, Nora Silver, Bell, Steven Levitan, Oly Obst, Danielle Stokdyk, and Jeff Morton. 20th Television is the studio.

Moayed received two Emmy nominations for his role as Stewy Hosseini in HBO’s Succession. He also is a two-time Tony nominee for Baghdad Zoo (2011) and A Doll’s House ( 2023). He played Agent P. Cleary in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Spider-Man: No Way Hom e and Disney+ series Ms. Marvel. At Netflix, he previously had a main role in Inventing Anna. Moayed recently guest starred on CBS’ Elsbeth and will next be seen in Guy Ritchie’s Apple TV+ film Fountain of Youth opposite John Krasinski and Natalie Portman. He is repped by UTA, Kipperman Management and Schreck Rose Dapello.
