'The Outgoing Tide' opens at Beckwith Theatre Company

DOWAGIAC — "The Outgoing Tide" opens Sept. 8 and continues through Sept. 17 at The Beckwith Theatre Company, 100 New York Ave.

Written by Bruce Graham, takes place in a summer cottage on Chesapeake Bay, where Gunner has hatched anunorthodox plan to secure his family's future but meets with resistance from his wife and son, who have plans of their own.

As winter approaches, the three must quickly find common ground and come to an understanding — before the tide goes out.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 8-9 and 15-16 and at 2 p.m. Sept. 10 and 17.

The Sept. 8 performance features wine from Hickory Creek, and the Sept. 15 performance features beer from The Livery.

Tickets are $15.
