This Photo of a Young Joe Gorga Offers a Rare Look at His Life Before Melissa & Fatherhood
- A throwback photo of Joe Gorga from his student-athlete days shows a striking resemblance to his teen sons, Gino and Joey Jr.
In case you needed any photographic proof that Joe Gorga 's sons, Gino and Joey Jr. , are, in fact, a direct copy and paste of him, look no further. We have unearthed an old photo of a young Joe Gorga from his student-athlete days that left us doing a doubletake. The throwback image also offers up a rare look at Joe's life before he married Melissa Gorga , became a busy entrepreneur, dad, and, of course, a household name.
You see, The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband resembles his teen sons so much, that it's hard to believe the below photo is a throwback and not a current photo of one of his and Melissa's sons.
Much like The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband, the Gorga sons are also student-athletes , so they are truly proving the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in the Garden State.

Melissa Gorga on being in a home filled with "male energy"
Melissa shared with BravoTV.com in 2024 more about living in a home filled with "male energy" thanks to Joe, Joey, and Gino and with Antonia being away at college . "All boys, it's like even my dog, Nico, is a boy. And it's just like, I'm surrounded by it," she explained in the video at the top of the post. "There's sports on every channel, the Knicks game, football, you name it… And I'm just around a lot of male energy."
She added, "I just go in my room sometimes when they're all in the living room... I'm like, 'Where's my daughter? Because she left me here all alone with all these boys.' But it's cute. I love being a boy mom. I do. So it's fine."
So, how does Melissa feel about being a boy mom to two teens? "I would say raising the teenage girls is so much harder than raising the boys, like if I'm comparing, [Antonia], was so much like more difficult," she said. As for the difference between parenting girls and boys, Melissa pinpointed it to them having "more emotions and feelings."
In fact, Melissa has been open about her experience raising her two sons with Joe Gorga .
