Priscilla Presley Keeps Elvis’ Memory Alive With New Children’s Book
A children's book adapted fromElvis Presley's 1956 ballad "Love Me Tender" is set to be released this fall.
The picture book, titled Love Me Tender , is illustrated by Stephanie Graegin and features an endnote written by Priscilla Presley, the singer's former wife. According to its description, it's a "heartwarming ode to the special bond between children and the adults who love and care for them — be they parents, grandparents, adoptive parents, aunts, uncles or guardians."

Priscilla has helped care for her twin granddaughters, Harper and Finley (the children of Lisa Marie Presley and Michael Lockwood). Their grandmother took them in , in the midst of their parents' divorce — and she's hoping to keep Elvis' memory alive for them.
"The twins know much about their grandfather. How famous he is, his love of Graceland, his movies and his songs. They can hear one of his songs on the radio and right away know that's his voice," Priscilla tells People . "I can't imagine them not liking the book. First of all, they will instantly recognize the title and secondly it's a feel-good story of love and accepting and a happy ending. Isn't that what children want?"
Love Me Tender is set to to be published by Dial Books for Young Readers on Nov. 13. It can be preordered on Amazon .
