‘The Rehearsal’ Season 2 Trailer: Nathan Fielder Takes On Aviation Safety In A Role-Playing Exercise That Appears To End In Tragedy – Update

UPDATED, April 3:HBO has released the official trailer for Season 2 of Nathan Fielder’s The Rehearsal.
Fielder takes on aviation safety in the trailer, determined to save lives after he’s “noticed a disturbing pattern in the causes of these crashes.”

He reminds an NTSB official that “Fifteen years ago you recommended role-playing exercises” the official confirms that the FAA said no. Fielder takes on the challenge, finding willing participants to carry out the exercise. The trailer ends with Fielder walking past a crashed, burning plane, with victims injured on the ground.
Season 2 of The Rehearsal premieres Sunday, April 20 on HBO. Watch the trailer above.

The 20-second clip features Fielder, with laptop in hand, overseeing five identical rooms on a soundstage, with various scenes playing out in them. In Season 2, per HBO’s logline, the urgency of Fielder’s project grows as he decides to put his resources toward an issue that affects us all.
The Rehearsal follows one man’s journey to reduce the uncertainties of everyday life. With a construction crew, a legion of actors and seemingly unlimited resources, Fielder helps ordinary people prepare for life’s biggest moments by “rehearsing” them in carefully crafted simulations of his own design.
Fielder stars — his character also is Nathan Fielder — writes, directs and executive produces. Also executive producing are Eric Notarnicola, Dave Paige and Christie Smith & Dan McManus for Rise Management. Kris Eber and Carrie Kemper co-executive produce and Adam Locke-Norton produces. Additional writers include Notarnicola, Kemper and Locke-Norton.
