Lisa Marie Presley rarely discussed the events surrounding the death of her father, Elvis Presley . However, in a rare interview on the subject a decade before her own passing , she recalled the final moments and her last conversation with Elvis on the final night of his life in August 1977.
"I don't like talking about this. It was August 16th, at 4 a.m. ," she said during an interview with Radar Online, while promoting her final album in 2012. "I was supposed to be asleep, actually. He found me, you know. [He said:] 'Go to bed.'" Elvis then kissed his daughter goodnight, tucked her into bed and left the room. "That was the last time I saw him alive," Lisa Marie said.
