Sarah Hyland and Andrew Barth Feldman Duet on Cover of “Little Shop of Horrors” Hit — Watch (Exclusive)

The actors, who are currently starring in the hit Off-Broadway revival, collaborated with Third Reprise for a cover of "Somewhere That's Green"

Sarah Hyland and Andrew Barth Feldman are giving one of musical theater's most-beloved songs a whole new sound.

The actors, who are currently starring in the acclaimed Off-Broadway revival of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman's iconic musical Little Shop of Horrors , have collaborated with Third Reprise for an electrifying cover of "Somewhere That's Green."

PEOPLE can exclusively premiere the tune and its accompanying music video, which shows the duo in the studio with the band.

Third Reprise have grown a dedicated following on social media. Dreamed up by Daniel Rudin, the band reimagines musical theater songs in bold new ways, merging funk and soul musicians and singers with those from the New York theatrical scene.

Feldman, a Broadway veteran known for his on-screen breakout role opposite  Jennifer Lawrence in No Hard Feelings , has worked with Third Reprise before. In November 2023, he appeared in a riveting Yacht Rock cover of Wicked 's "Popular" on their channel that has since amassed hundreds of thousands of views.

This time around, Feldman brings along Hyland, who is making her celebrated return to the New York City stage with Little Shop of Horrors. The Modern Family actress plays Skid Row sweetheart Audrey, who falls for her flower show co-worker Seymour (Feldman) in the musical.

"Somewhere That's Green" is Audrey's big ballad in the show, sung as she dreams of a life bigger than her own. The song was made famous by original Audrey Ellen Greene, and has become a staple in the musical theater songbook.

It's never been heard like this before, though. Rudin's funky arrangement makes it a joyful, upbeat duet. He drives the song on the piano, with bandmates Josh Roberts (drums), Skyler Fortgang (percussion), Jonathan Toscano (bass), Nate Brown (acoustic guitar), Stefano Di Blasio (electric guitar), Terrease Aiken (harp), Andrew Griffin (viola) and violinists Ariana Capon and Yoojin Park.

Meanwhile, Feldman and Hyland show off their vocal range alongside harmonies from backup vocalists Zakiya Baptiste, Khadija Sankoh and Tiffany Renee Thompson.

Little Shop of Horrors is based on the 1960 movie of the same name.

The musical originally premiered in New York City in 1982, before it transferred to Off-Broadway's Orpheum Theatre, where it ran for five years.

A 1986 film adaptation, directed by Frank Oz and starring  Rick Moranis  and Greene came next. It became a cult classic, and helped fuel the popularity of community theater and high school productions of  Little Shop  for decades to come.

The current Off-Broadway revival — directed by Tony-winner Michael Mayer ( Spring Awakening ) — has been widely praised, winning top honors in 2020 from the Drama League, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk Awards.

Since its debut, a long line of stars have stepped into the production at the Westside Theatre in New York City, including  Jonathan Groff , Tammy Blanchard,  Darren Criss ,  Evan Rachel Wood ,  Skylar Astin ,  Maude Apatow ,  Matt Doyle , Lena Hall,  Gideon Glick ,  Constance Wu ,  Jeremy Jordan ,  Conrad Ricamora , and most recently,  Corbin Bleu  and  Jinkx Monsoon .
