Did someone order a blast from the past?

It's not every day you get invited to go to the  Grammy Awards !

While stars like  Justin Bieber  and  Miley Cyrus  might've felt like winners just for getting invites so early in their careers,  Norah Jones ,  Billie Eilish  and  Olivia Rodrigo  each ended their Grammy debuts on a high note winning major trophies. Some first-time attendees are now among the biggest names in music; others have transformed their look entirely since the first time they stepped onto the Grammys red carpet.

Ahead of the 66th annual ceremony on Feb. 4, 2024, here's a look back at some of our favorite stars at their very first Grammys.

Lizzo

Lizzo  posed with three of the eight trophies she was nominated for at the 2020 Grammys. That night, she won best urban contemporary album for  Cuz I Love You (Deluxe) , best pop solo performance for "Truth Hurts" and best traditional R&B performance for "Jerome."

Harry Styles

Whoa, boa!  Harry Styles ' fans couldn't stop talking about the singer's choice of fluffy accessory at the 62nd annual Grammys in 2020. He went on to win his first trophy for best pop solo performance in 2021 for "Watermelon Sugar" from his  Fine Line  album.

Adele

Hello, it's Adele ! The singer, who won best new artist at the 2009 Grammys, went for an all-black look for the awards show.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga  rocked an avant-garde outfit at the 2010 Grammys, where her debut album,  The Fame , earned the singer her first trophy for best electronic/dance album.

Christina Aguilera

A then-20-year-old  Christina Aguilera  smiled from ear to ear while holding her Grammy for best new artist in 2000.

Bad Bunny

Before he became known for his over-the-top high fashion ensembles,  Bad Bunny  kept it simple at the 18th annual Latin Grammy Awards in 2017, wearing all black and opting for pink sunnies for a pop of color. He won his first Latin Grammy for best urban music album in 2019.

Destiny's Child

In 2000, the penultimate lineup of  Destiny's Child  —  Beyoncé ,  Kelly Rowland ,  Michelle Williams  and Farrah Franklin — made it cool to match your bandmates at the Grammys. The group was nominated for best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocal and best R&B song for their song "Bills, Bills, Bills" from their sophomore album,  The Writings on the Wall .

JAY-Z

JAY-Z  was in his big-tie era for his first appearance at the 46th Grammys in 2004. He took home best rap/sung collaboration and best R&B song that evening with his  then-girlfriend (and future wife)  Beyoncé for their collaboration, "Crazy in Love."

Mary J. Blige

Mary J. Blige  rocked a leopard-print ensemble with dark shades at her first Grammys in 1996. On that night, she got to call herself a Grammy winner, winning best rap performance by a duo or group with  Method Man  for their song "I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By."

Doja Cat

Doja Cat  made a splash at her first Grammys in 2021. The singer — who was up for best new artist, best pop solo performance and record of the year for "Say So" — showed up and showed out in this Roberto Cavalli dress featuring a plunging neckline.

The Scarlet rapper's 2024 Grammy nominations include best pop solo performance for "Paint the Town Red," along with best melodic rap performance and best rap song for "Attention."

Sean Paul

Sean Paul  posed with his gilded trophy for best reggae album in 2004. The rapper was also in the running that year for best new artist and best male rap solo performance for "Get Busy."

Norah Jones

The then-24-year-old singer-songwriter swept all the biggest categories during the 2003 ceremony. Jones went home with five wins: best new artist, best female pop vocal performance and record of the year for "Don't Know Why" and album of the year and best pop vocal album for  Come Away with Me . 

Kendrick Lamar

In 2014, a baby-faced  Kendrick Lamar  posed on the red carpet looking dapper in a blue suit at the 56th Grammys, where he was up for eight trophies but left empty-handed. He didn't have to wait long to secure his first Grammy, though: He snagged two in 2015 for best rap song and best rap performance. The "Rich Spirit" rapper is vying for three trophies in 2024: best rap performance, best music video and best music film.

Michael Bublé

Welcome to the crooners club!  Michael Bublé  walked the carpet alongside music legend  Tony Bennett  when he first attended in 2006. His fourth album,  It's Time , earned him his first Grammy nomination that same year for best traditional pop vocal album.

Florence Welch

Florence Welch 's memorable boho style was on full display in 2011 when her band, Florence + the Machine, was up for best new artist.

Brandi Carlile

Brandi Carlile  wore a laid-back look for the 58th Grammys in 2016. That evening, her fifth album,  The Firewatcher's Daughter , was up for best Americana album.

The singer-songwriter is in the race for best Americana performance for "Dear Insecurity" with Brandy Clark and best pop duo/group performance for "Thousand Miles" with Cyrus at the 2024 Grammys.

Fiona Apple

Fiona Apple  made her Grammys debut in 1997, one year before she received nominations for best new artist and best rock song and won best female rock vocal performance for "Criminal."

BTS

BTS  made their highly anticipated arrival on the red carpet in 2019 and quickly stole the spotlight in their dapper suits.

" It's more than a dream ," RM told PEOPLE at the time of their first appearance. "We can't believe it."

Miranda Lambert

Country star  Miranda Lambert  arrived with side bangs, a bedazzled bow and then-boyfriend  Blake Shelton  on her arm in 2008. In 2011, she earned her first Grammy for best female country vocal performance for "The House That Built Me" and then performed the song onstage.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift  looked like a princess in a romantic purple gown at the 2008 Grammys, where she was nominated for best new artist. She won her first trophy in 2010 for best female country vocal performance for "White Horse."

The  Midnights  singer-songwriter earned six nominations for the 2024 Grammys, including song of the year, record of the year and album of the year.

Kelly Clarkson

Fresh off the heels of her  American Idol win,  Kelly Clarkson  wore a black gown to the Grammys in 2004, where she received her first nomination for best female pop vocal performance. Later, in 2006, she became a two-time Grammy winner, claiming best female pop vocal performance for "Since U Been Gone" and best pop vocal album for  Breakaway .

Clarkson's 10th album,  Chemistry , is in the running for best pop vocal album in 2024.

Jennifer Lopez

All that glitters is gold ... or at least  Jennifer Lopez  did on the Grammys red carpet in 1999. She would go on to received her first Grammy nod in 2000 for best dance recording for "Waiting for Tonight."

Reba McEntire

Legendary singer  Reba McEntire  brought out the best country attire (spangles, lace, fringe and big hair) for her Grammy debut in 1986. At the following ceremony in 1987, she took home her first trophy for best female country vocal performance for "Whoever's in New England."

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande  was still sporting her red  Sam & Cat  ponytail in 2011. She won her first Grammy in 2019 for best pop vocal album for  Sweetener .

Mariah Carey

Iconic divas only!  Mariah Carey  wore a black minidress and signature curls to the Grammys in 1991. She took home two awards that night: best new artist and best female pop vocal performance for "Vision of Love."

Justin Bieber

Baby, baby, baby Biebs! The singer's first time at the awards show was in 2010. He took home his first win for best dance/electronic recording in 2016 for "Where Are Ü Now" with Jack Ü.

Britney Spears

Britney Spears  went totally glam for the 2000 Grammy Awards in an all-white outfit and fur stole. The pop star was up for best new artist and best female pop vocal performance for "…Baby One More Time" that night.

Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefan  wasn't "Just a Girl" back when she mixed prints like a pro at the 1997 Grammys. Stefani was in the running for best new artist and best rock album with her band,  No Doubt .

Céline Dion

Vocal powerhouse  Céline Dion  went surprisingly low-key at the 1992 Grammys. She won her first Grammy in 1993 for the duet "Beauty and the Beast" from the soundtrack of the 1991 Disney film of the same name.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry  looked pretty in pink at her first Grammy Awards appearance in 2009. Her breakout hit "I Kissed a Girl" earned the singer her first nod that year for best female pop vocal performance.

Carrie Underwood

American Idol  alum  Carrie Underwood  sparkled on the Grammys carpet in 2007. It was a big night for the soon-to-be country superstar, who walked away with two trophies: best new artist and best female country vocal performance for "Jesus, Take the Wheel."

Rihanna

Turn that music up:  Rihanna  made her Grammys debut in 2007. The following year, the future pop star won her first Grammy for best rap/sung collaboration for "Umbrella" featuring mentor JAY-Z.

The Barbadian hitmaker and  mom-of-two  is nominated in 2024 for best song written for visual media for "Lift Me Up" from the 2022 sequel  Black Panther: Wakanda Forever .

Miley Cyrus

Back when she was still getting the best of both worlds as  Hannah Montana , the "Flowers" singer attended her first Grammys. Cyrus is competing for six awards at the 2024 Grammys, including album of the year and song of the year.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill

Country couple  Tim McGraw  and  Faith Hill  attended their first Grammys ceremony together in 1998, two years after they  tied the knot . The lovebirds were up for best country collaboration with vocals for their duet "Just to Hear You Say That You Love Me."

Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys  has always had a unique sense of style. She was living proof of that on the Grammys red carpet in 2002. The R&B songstress won four trophies at the ceremony: best new artist, song of the year, best female R&B vocal performance and best R&B song.

She's nominated for best immersive audio album for  The Diary of Alicia Keys  in 2024.

Shakira

Shakira  gave the coveted trophy a run for its money when she turned up in this gold ensemble in 2000. The singer received her first Grammy the following year for best Latin pop album for her debut live album,  MTV Unplugged .

Madonna

Madonna couldn't even carry all of her awards at the 1999 show. She took home three trophies that evening: best pop album, best dance recording and best short form music video.

Keith Urban

Yes,  Keith Urban  — a.k.a. the future Mr.  Nicole Kidman  — made his Grammys debut in 2001 (the hair might have given that away). In 2006, his song "You'll Think of Me" earned him his first trophy for best male country vocal performance.

Kanye West

Kanye West wore all white to his first Grammys in 2005 and even flashed an elusive smile after taking home three that evening: best rap song, best rap album and best R&B song.

Selena Gomez

Before she released music and performed onstage,  Selena Gomez  was an actress who made her Grammys debut in 2011.

John Legend

Eventual  EGOT winner John Legend  looked smooth in his velvet tuxedo in 2005. He won his first three Grammys in 2006 for best new artist, best male R&B vocal performance for "Ordinary People" and best R&B album for  Get Lifted .

Cher

Cher  was  fairy  pretty in her iridescent outfit for the 1974 awards. It's hard to believe the veteran pop star didn't win her first Grammy until 2000, taking home best dance recording for her smash hit "Believe."

SZA

SZA  couldn't help but smile while flaunting her floral halter dress on the Grammys red carpet in 2016. Hoping to add another trophy next to the best pop duo/group performance Grammy she won with Doja Cat in 2022 for "Kiss Me More," 2024's most-nominated artist will compete for nine Grammys, including album of the year, record of the year and song of the year.

Olivia Rodrigo

The then-19-year-old walked away a three-time Grammy winner at the 2022 awards, taking home best new artist, best pop vocal album for  Sour  and best pop solo performance for " Drivers License ."

The pop star is up for seven trophies at the 2024 Grammys, including record of the year and song of the year for "Vampire" and album of the year for  Guts . Good for you, Rodrigo!

Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey  was a classic beauty at the 54th Grammys in 2012. The alt-pop star is a contender in five categories at the 2024 ceremony, including song of the year for "A&W" and album of the year for Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd .

Janelle Monáe

Leave it to  Janelle Monáe  to pull off a tux! Here, the musician looked dapper at the 2013 Grammys, where she was nominated for three trophies. Monáe is back in the race for two Grammy nods at the 2024 ceremony, including album of the year and best progressive R&B album for  The Age of Pleasure .

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa  looked stunning in this all-silver ensemble on the Grammys red carpet in 2019, where she won two awards: best new artist and best dance recording for "Electricity" with Silk City. For the 2024 Grammys, her bop from the  Barbie soundtrack, "Dance the Night," is nominated for song of the year and best song written for visual media.

Billie Eilish

The singer-songwriter's slime-green-and-black outfit at the 2020 Grammys will forever be iconic. That evening, the then-18-year-old did the unthinkable. She swept the top four categories: record of the year, song of the year, album of the year and best new artist. At the 2024 ceremony, Eilish is vying for a whopping six trophies.

Coco Jones

Golden goddess  Coco Jones  was all smiles on the red carpet at the 2023 Grammys. In 2024, the R&B powerhouse joins the competition with five nominations, including best new artist, best R&B song and best R&B performance.

Victoria Monét

Victoria Monét  made her regal Grammys debut at the 2020 awards show. The talented singer-songwriter is only second to SZA in nominations this year, with seven nominations, including record of the year, best new artist and best R&B album.

Jack Antonoff

Jack Antonoff  — the writer and producer behind some of Del Rey and Swift's biggest hits — appeared on the Grammys red carpet in 2013 with his band Fun, who won best new artist and song of the year. At the 2024 Grammys, he's hoping to add more trophies to his mantle from his six nominations.

Phoebe Bridgers

Phoebe Bridgers  attended the 2021 Grammys with silver hair, dark lipstick and a truly one-of-a-kind outfit that screamed skeleton chic. The indie rocker is nominated for seven trophies in 2024: six with her band  Boygenius  and one for assisting SZA on their collab "Ghost in the Machine."
