Stephen Hill Upped To BET President Of Programming

BET Networks has filled the vacancy left by the September departure of president of original programming Loretha Jones by

expanding the turf of President of Music Programming & Specials Stephen Hill. BET veteran Hill has been promoted to President of Programming, overseeing both Original Programming and Music Programming & Specials. He will continue to be based in New York, reporting to Debra L. Lee, Chairman and CEO of BET Networks. "I have worked with Stephen for over 15 years, and his passion for the BET Brand has been apparent from the very beginning," said Lee.

In his previous role, Hill was responsible for BET's music shows and specials including, BET Awards, BET Honors, Black Girls Rock and The Hip Hop Awards . He also served as a member of the team that successfully launched Real Husbands of Hollywood . Hill served as EVP of Entertainment and Music Programming before being promoted to President. Prior to joining BET Networks, he was the director of Music Programming at MTV.
