‘Survivor’ Recap: Which Season 47 Castaway Was Voted Out After Intense Negotiation for Rice?

Last week's episode of Survivor season 47 ended with Sol getting sent home , but the game must go on! Who will be sent packing at the end of episode 10?

Tensions flared back at camp after the last tribal council since Teeny's biggest ally went home. "I've never been more left out or confused," Teeny said. She had a candid conversation with Genevieve about where their relationship stood.

Who Won the Reward Challenge?

At the start of the Wednesday, November 20, episode, once again, all eyes were on Andy to see what he would get up to amid the power shift in the game. "I would be very excited to work with you, Kyle," he said to Kyle before chatting with all of the other castaways separately and stirring up drama.

The players then competed in teams for a reward. They had to work their bodies through the sand as they moved a ball with their face, not able to use their hands. The highlight of the challenge was definitely Andy using his mouth and sandy tongue to move the ball.

But Jeff Probstdeclared that nobody ripped through the obstacle course faster than Gabe. It seemed like Gabe and the red team were going to catch up with all of the time he was able to make up on the course. Though it was a valiant comeback effort by the red team, Sam, Kyle and Rachel ended up winning the reward after landing their team's balls in holes.

Rachel Was on the Fence About Her Trust in Sam

The winners of the reward challenge headed to the sanctuary for a well-earned meal. While at the reward, Kyle said that he wanted to target Gabe. "It's kind of hard to trust in the alliances you have because you never know when they're going to cut you," Kyle said. Sam was definitely on board with the plan to get rid of Gabe to get "revenge" for Sierra's elimination.

But Rachel was not necessarily on board right away. She said that her main target was Genevieve. She joined Sam for a one-on-one conversation about whether or not they could trust each other. "I feel like every opportunity I give Sam to not lie to me or screw me over in some way, he still does," Rachel said.

Sue Has a Vendetta Against Kyle

Back at camp, Andy tried to recruit Sue for his agenda, which we're still not sure of if we're being honest. It seems like he wants to form some kind of alliance each week but it has yet to come to fruition. He got Sue talking about her hatred for Kyle for writing her name down in the past at tribal council.

"We need to get rid of Kyle when we can," Sue said.

Gabe then admitted that he was "worried" that Kyle would beat him at the end. "On a strategic level, I know how Kyle is going to vote every single vote ... I have to weigh the benefits of having Kyle in this game," Gabe said.

Caroline agreed that people would be down to go after Kyle. But later on, Teeny said that she was feeling "low" because her relationship with Genevieve was throwing her for a loop. While the castaways were sleeping, her bag lit on fire, burning a hole right through it.

Who Won the Immunity Challenge?

At the immunity challenge, the most insane rice negotiation happened. Jeff asked four castaways to sit out for rice. Sam said that he didn't think anyone would sit out. Caroline asked if they could get the rice if two players gave up their shot in the dark. Jeff said no. Kyle then asked if they could have the rice if everyone gave up their shot in the dark. Sam was the only one who was hesitant. "I"m on the bottom," he said. "I've been on the bottom."

Gabe gave Sam a speech about how the rice would help him go from the bottom to the top and how keeping his vote over the shot in the dark was the most important thing in the game. Sam said that Gabe persuaded him and he didn't want to keep rice from the group. This had to be one of the most shocking negotiations in the history of the show. They all handed over their shot in the dark to Jeff in exchange for the rice.

"I never saw this negotiation coming," Jeff admitted.

For the immunity challenge, the castaways had to balance on a platform while holding onto a disk with a ball on top of it. Whoever dropped their ball was out. After a few moments, a second ball was added. Sue, Sam, Kyle and Teeny were the remaining four competitors left standing as they added a third ball to the disk. Teeny and Sam dropped, making it a showdown between Sue and her nemesis, Kyle.

Sue dropped due to the strong winds, leading Kyle to win his fourth individual immunity. Big shocker. It seemed like everyone was pissed that one of their biggest targets was safe from elimination yet again.

The Plan to Get Rid of Gabe Was Set in Motion

Sam admitted that he did not want to give up his shot in the dark for rice. But he was thrilled that Gabe did not win the immunity challenge. He started spreading the word about wanting to get rid of Gabe. But Teeny had other plans. She said she wanted Genevieve out, but ultimately, she said that she understood it wasn't the right time. Gabe said that he wanted to get Genevieve out too.

"Right now, I feel the best I've ever felt in the game," Gabe said. Famous last words on Survivor . He told Caroline that he wanted to be in the final 3 with her and Sue. Caroline said that she wanted to get rid of Gabe but didn't want to betray Sue's trust.

Kyle eventually said that he didn't want Gabe to leave just yet because he's an easy person to hide behind. Genevieve said that she knew her or Gabe was going home. Right before tribal council, Gabe started panicking about being on the chopping block. The paranoia got to the point where Gabe and Genevieve finally pulled each other for a chat to discuss why everyone was targeting them. Teaming up to save each other seemed like a great option, but it's not what they decided to do in the end. Big mistake.

Who Went Home at Tribal Council?

At tribal council, Jeff said that he felt like Gabe persuaded Sam to give up his shot in the dark for the rice. It felt like subtle foreshadowing for how the vote was going to go. Genevieve then said that she felt like she shouldn't have given up her shot in the dark. She felt like people weren't talking to her as much at camp, making her very worried.

In the end, Gabe was sent home as predicted. Sue was left out of the vote, which is sure to cause some drama in next week's episode.
