Eight years ago, on July 26, 2015, Bobbi Kristina Brown died at home in a bathtub, in an eerily similar way to her mother Whitney Houston , who died on Feb. 11, 2012 , in a tub at a hotel in Los Angeles.

Prior to their tragic deaths, the women — and dad Bobby Brown — had a tight if not complicated family life in the spotlight, with Bobbi Kristina looking up to her mega musician parents and even joining them on stage from time to time.
