Things to do: Sweethearts dance at Weasel Boy will benefit Dancing Divas
Weasel Boy Brewing will host the Sweethearts and Surprises Dance, so you can dance the night away. According to the Facebook event page, "The evening will be full of dancing to the music you love with special surprises throughout the night. All of this to support Dancing with the Divas 2024. Symphony performance
Picturesque Brown Chapel at Muskingum University will be the setting for the Muskingum Valley Symphonic Winds' Gershwin show. Join them as they present "Love and Gershwin," a Valentine's Day theme with a tribute to American composer George Gershwin. The show will feature pianist Harsha Abeyaratne, associate professor of music and director of keyboard studies at Muskingum. Musical selections for the evening include "Rhapsody in Blue," "An American in Paris," and "Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral." There is no charge for the concert, but donations will be accepted. Orchestra fundraising
The Southeastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra is having a fundraising wine and tapas tasting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, 630 Main St. Th event will feature four wines with small plate pairing. Paint party
Grab your special someone and head to The Renner for a paint party for couples. Valentine's Day-themed desserts and beverages will be available. The cost is $35 per couple and includes supplies.
