Donald Trump reacts to Maria Bartiromo’s shocking exit from Fox News
The president said that fans “will not be happy” with Bartiromo’s departure from the conservative station.

Longtime Fox News star Maria Bartiromo's shocking exit from the conservative station drew a supportive response from President Donald Trump .
One day after the network confirmed Thursday that Bartiromo, 58, would leave the channel after 12 years, the surprise move raised questions among fans.
"I can't believe Maria Bartiromo is no longer going to have her great show(s) on FoxNews/Business," Trump, 80, posted on his Truth Social platform.

He called Bartiromo "a total professional, and a true warrior" for her contributions to Fox News, and speculated that those who tune in might not be pleased with the turn of events.
"Her fans, of which there are many, will not be happy," he continued. "God bless you, Maria!"
Bartiromo's attorney did not immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly 's request for comment on her Fox News departure earlier this week.
Fox announced Thursday that Bartiromo "is no longer with Fox News Media" effective immediately, additionally expressing gratitude for her work at the station.
"We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter," the announcement read.
Mornings With Maria , Bartiromo's long-running program, aired its installments on the Fox Business Network. However, the show won't end altogether, and instead will "transition to Mornings With Fox Business beginning tomorrow with rotating anchors," the network revealed.

Maria Bartiromo's Wall Street , the star's other program that aired on Friday evenings, was rebranded as FBN's Wall Street with Cheryl Casone and other rotating anchors stepping in for the namesake host.
Prior to making the jump to Fox in 2014, Bartiromo served as host of Closing Bell and On the Money With Maria Bartiromo at CNBC. She won two prior News & Documentary Emmys for her reporting work, including for contributions to NBC Nightly News and the long-form investigation, Inside the Mind of Google.
In 1995, she also spent time reporting on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, where she broke new ground as the first reporter to mount daily live broadcasts from the location.
