DWTS’ Witney Carson Reveals Robert Irwin Told Her She’ll ‘Empower Others Women’ by Competing While Pregnant

Robert Irwin had some kind words for his former dance partner, Witney Carson , regarding her pregnancy.
While promoting her partnership with Chevron and its Techron technology, the Dancing with the Stars pro dancer, 32, spoke with Closer about her sweet bond with the zookeeper, 22, with whom she won the Mirrorball Trophy last season.
"We had a long conversation on the phone, and I'm just so impressed by how much knowledge that kid has," she shares. "I'm like, 'You're 22. You're giving me advice, and I'm old, much older than you, and I've had way more life experiences than you.' But yet, he's totally helped me."

Regarding her decision to compete while pregnant with her third child , the two-time mirror ball champion reveals that the conservationist encouraged her to empower others.
"He's just said basically like embrace this phase of life and embrace it in front of everyone because you'll empower a lot of women, and that's like a big thing for you this season is just to just empower other women, empower yourself, and just like have fun with it and just go for it," she says. "So that's what I'm going to do."
Witney — who is partnered with Jimmy Kimmel 's sidekick, Guillermo Rodriguez , this season — is in rehearsal as season 35 returns on Tuesday, September 15.
"I do feel really good, like physically, I feel like I can still do everything. I don't actually feel that pregnant," she explains. "I was just telling Guillermo, I'm like, 'I'm just pregnant, not injured' … he's like, 'Do you need a snack? Do you need water? Do you need to take a break?' And I'm like, 'Thank you so much for worrying about me, but I really am OK.'"

"So it's been an adjustment for me to kind of figure it out, and I'm sure it'll get harder as the bump gets bigger," she adds. But as of right now, I feel great."
As for whether she wants to take home a third mirrorball, the mom of two — who shares sons Leo, 5, and Jet, 3, with husband Carson McAllister — tells Closer , "I do want to win again for sure."
"I told Guillermo that, and he's like, 'Don't be greedy, Witney. Like, let someone else win,'" she admits. "I just am so competitive that, like, my personality just can't relax. I can't just be fine with not doing well … so no matter what, I'm going to do my very best. And so is Guillermo too. He's down for it."
