The series, which first premiered on Netflix in 2024, is a spin-off of Guy Ritchie's 2019 film by the same name about the intersection of the criminal cannabis trade and high class British society. Netflix's The Gentlemen stars Theo James, Kaya Scodelario , Joely Richardson, Ray Winstone, and Joshua McGuire. Speaking of Westeros besties, The Gentlemen also stars Daniel Ings, who had a bit of a breakout year as Lyonel Baratheon on A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms . And of course, Kristofer Hivju who played Tormund on the OG Game of Thrones .

You got that right! It's not only Twitter/X official. Season 3 is also trade official. According to Deadline , Netflix gave the green light ahead of the season 2 premiere. That's one way to make sure people watch, right? No more stressing that Netflix is going to cancel your new favorite show the second you get invested, please!
What will The Gentlemen season 3 be about?
Season 2 moved the action from the English countryside to the lakes of Italy. Perhaps another international move is in the works? That'll depend on how season 2 ends, of course. "The ambition of The Gentlemen has accelerated, the world has expanded and the consequences carry weight," Ritchie told Deadline. "A third season felt inevitable, and I'm looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further."
As for the rumors (or should I say rumours ) that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is joining The Gentlemen in season 3 , and that's why she and Prince Harry moved their family back to the, a.k.a. their, United Kingdom, there's not much to say about that other than it seems to not be happening. Theo James called the rumors "hot air" this week, which could just be a way of evading the question. We are unfortunately in a holding pattern until Netflix makes that official as well.
When will The Gentlemen season 3 premiere on Netflix?
On one hand, this early renewal means that there's a possibility that pre-production (writing, location scouting, planning, etc.) has already quietly started on The Gentlemen season 3. They could be ready to start filming soon-ish, which would get it to our screens faster. On the other hand, they've already set a precedent for dropping a new season every two years. That does seem to be the norm, at least, at Netflix these days. Plus, if they're going for big and expensive international locations that could take time to lock down everyone's availability. As much of a bummer as it is to think about, the safest bet is that we'll see season 3 in 2028.
