Good grief! 'It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown' streaming for free this weekend

And this weekend only, Apple TV is offering free streaming of the 1966 animated film "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown." Whether or not you remember when the 25-minute television special based on Charles M. Schulz comic strip Peanuts first came out, you can cozy up with the nostalgia.

"It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" is available to stream for free on Saturday, Oct. 18 and Sunday, Oct. 19.

Apple TV is streaming "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" at no cost this weekend.

While viewers won't need an Apple TV subscription to enjoy the classic, the platform may require signing in with an Apple ID account.

Apple TV's Charlie Brown streaming event doesn't stop with Halloween. For one weekend in each of the next three months, the platform has free streaming offers for the upcoming holidays.

• Oct. 18-19: "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"

• Nov. 15-16: "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving"

• Dec. 13-14: "A Charlie Brown Christmas"

Apple TV+ is the exclusive home for all "Peanuts" content. At the beginning of October and just prior to the comic strip's 75th anniversary, the platform announced its partnership with the "Peanuts" franchise would be extended through 2030. Apple TV+ bought exclusivity rights in 2020.
