‘Private challenges’ cause reality TV stars to split months after season finale
"Farmer Wants a Wife" stars John Sansone and Claire Dirette have called it quits, months after their season finale aired.
Sansone first announced the split in a now-deleted Instagram post, stating that it was "a mutual decision based on private challenges, and had nothing to do with any reposts."
He went on to say, "While I'll always appreciate and respect the time we shared together, I feel it's best to move forward separately. While our relationship was public, I wish for this chapter to remain as private as possible."
The former couple met during the third season of the reality television series, where Sansone chose Dirette over fellow contestant Lily Ayres in the May finale.
When the finale ended, Sansone told Taste of Country that "Claire and I got along on a more surface level. She and I made each other laugh a lot, just generally had a good time together."
According to US Weekly , Dirette responded to Sansone's statement on Instagram, by reposting it on her Instagram Stories with the caption, "I ain't reading all that but ditto."
