NBC is airing a repeat of the December 20, 2025 Ariana Grande / Cher Christmas episode. The star of the upcoming Focker-in-Law once again proved an ace Host her third time around, whipping out vocal impressions of Katy Perry, Macauley Culkin in Home Alone, and of course Celine Dion.

It's the same memorable episode that served as cast member Bowen Yang's final show after six-and-a-half seasons as a cast member.

In addition to returning Season 50 performers including Ashley Padilla , James Austin Johnson , and longest-running cast member Kenan Thompson , the show welcomed five new Featured Players for Season 51 in October 2025: Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson , and Veronika Slowikowska .

SNL returns on May 2, when Olivia Rodrigo makes her hosting debut — and she'll be on double duty as the episode's Musical Guest. She'll follow in the footsteps of Sabrina Carpenter and Harry Styles, who pulled off the same feat this season. The singer-songwriter's third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, releases on June 12.
