Aimee Lou Wood has struggled with her body image from an early age. In previous interviews, the Sex Education star spoke out multiple times about her insecurities regarding her body. She has often battled her body dysmorphia with acting, which she considers her safe space. But things got a little tense while shooting for The White Lotus Season 3.

The actress discussed this during a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar . She recalled about her White Lotus role, "Acting has always been a safe place for me to work out my feelings,…I think for that reason a role will hit me in the heart, in the gut."

But when she was shooting for the show, there was a bikini scene, which brought back her struggle with body dysmorphia. However, she was so fused with her character, she could channel Chelsea's confidence. "I shook myself out of it by thinking, 'It's not about whether Aimee wants to show her body or not – Chelsea does.'," Aimee recalled.

Chelsea had a deep impact on the actress, as she managed to overcome her insecurity while embodying her. "The line between me and her started to blur," she said about the highly immersive shoot that took place in Thailand for months.

The third season of the anthology series ended up receiving great critical acclaim. Aimee Lou Wood also received sufficient praise for her part.
