Shemar Moore Breaks Silence on Major ‘S.W.A.T. Exiles’ News Ahead of Series Premiere
Shemar Moorehas some big news about his TV future.
His new series S.W.A.T. Exiles premieres on September 25 and sees Shemar reprise his role as Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson. While there's still some time before the first episode of the S.W.A.T. spinoff, Shemar took to Instagram dressed in full Hondo gear to reveal that S.W.A.T. Exiles has already been renewed for season 2.
"Shemar Moore in the building. You also know me as Daniel 'Hondo' Harrelson," the former Criminal Minds star said in the clip posted on August 10. "I got such great news. S.W.A.T. Exiles just got picked up for season 2, baby. That's right. We start shooting in a couple of months, but first, mark your calendars! Season 1 is coming September 25th, exclusively on STARZ."
When fans saw Shemar's announcement, they had a lot to say in the comments.
"Let's get carried away by S.W.A.T. EXILES 🔥🔥🔥😍," one person exclaimed. "Let's go! I'm ready for SWAT to be back," another agreed. "Let's Go SWAT Fam! Now I really can't wait for Season 1. This is great news! We ready🔥🔥🔥💨💨💨," a different follower added.
S.W.A.T. Exiles will follow Hondo as he returns to S.W.A.T. by training an experimental unit of young recruits. The cast includes former S.W.A.T. stars Jay Harrington, Patrick St. Esprit,and David Lim, along with newbies Ronen Rubinstein, Fredy Miyares, Zyra Gorecki, Adain Bradley,and Lucy Barrett.
STARZ's social team gave fans a first-look trailer at S.W.A.T. Exiles on Instagram .
"New mission. New home," the caption read on the September 2 post. "Shemar Moore returns in the new series #SWATExiles premiering Sept 25, exclusively on STARZ."
