It wasn't Manny Ramirez or Pedro Martinez. It certainly wasn't Derek Jeter, as Jenny McCarthy guessed.

No, the "Googly Eyes" monster on the Masked Singer was none other than Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz .

The World Series champion won't bring home a trophy on the Masked Singer, though, as he was eliminated during the season premiere Wednesday night.

Big Papi performed DJ Snake and Lil Jon's "Turn Down for What." While all of the judges guessed it was a baseball player based on the clues and the size of the costume, only one guessed the true voice behind the red monster correctly — Ken Jeong.

During the reveal, host Nick Cannon referred to the costume as "the biggest we've ever had on the Masked Singer and one of the biggest stars, of course."

Ortiz called the performance "a straight-up workout," adding, "I don't need to go to the gym for about a month."

After Cannon told Ortiz that one of the guesses included Derek Jeter, Big Papi responded with his signature phrase.

"Daaaaa Yankees lose!"
