After years of on-air tension with fellow The View cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin , Republican commentator and new Bleep! podcast star Ana Navarro reacts to a question about the supposed rift in an interview with Entertainment Weekly .
Navarro, a former political strategist and current View panelist, shut down an inquiry into the supposed rift following several tense on-air moments with Griffin, a 37-year-old former White House staffer who worked under Mike Pence and Donald Trump , who joined the permanent Hot Topics table roster alongside Navarro in 2022.
When EW asks Navarro, 54, why Griffin is the only current View cohost she's not following on Instagram, the Bleep! podcast host quickly attempts to shift focus.
"Oh, I'm not going to answer that. I don't want to talk about… if I was going to talk about The View , I'd have to have The View PR on with us. Don't ask me questions about The View . I'm not going to answer them without letting The View PR know that I'm doing a conversation about it," Navarro says, playfully. (As of press time, EW has verified that the only current View cohosts Navarro and Griffin aren't following on the platform are each other.)
Still, Navarro makes a comical quip about her fellow panelists. "Following? I don't even know. I don't even know who looks at who you follow or unfollow. Whoopi [Goldberg] posts like, maybe once a year."
She continues: "Honestly, I don't pay attention to who follows who, and I started following those bitches ages ago and have forgotten to unfollow them because, frankly, they barely post!"
Navarro and Griffin have long sparred on the air, including during a particularly memorable December 2022 Hot Topics discussion about "toxic femininity" and workplace spats.
"We've come a long way in critiquing some of the male practices that are not helpful and need to be called out. Women have made a ton of progress, but we can also be each other's worst enemies. It's still the case, and I have to say, some of the worst bosses I've had have been women and sometimes colleagues in the workplace who are women," Griffin said at the time, to which Navarro sarcastically responded with a reference about Griffin's past: "That's what happens when you work with [former Trump counselor] Kellyanne Conway."
A visibly stunned Griffin clapped back at the time, telling Navarro, "I can't really get a word in without you attacking me," before adding, "So, I wouldn't say this is a totally different environment of women supporting each other."
Navarro then replied, telling Griffin, "Oh, I haven't attacked you yet."
Later, in 2023, Griffin appeared to roll her eyes during a live broadcast while Navarro spoke about a separate topic on the air — which viewers later pointed out on social media.
"So did anyone peep Alyssa's annoyed look when Ana mentioned going to the Beyoncé concert in New Orleans? Then she caught herself…" one person wrote on social media.
Navarro responded with a shrugging emoji, though a source close to the show explained to EW at the time that Griffin's expression was intended to communicate frustration about missing the opportunity to add her point of view to the topic, versus expressing frustration with Navarro herself.
Griffin and Navarro both joined The View in 2022, following political work for the Republican Party. Navarro previously worked with Jeb Bush, John McCain, and Jon Huntsman, while Griffin rose through the Washington, D.C. ranks to work for Trump's communications team at the White House. She resigned from her position in December 2020, and eventually spoke out against Trump and his policies.

The political personality was even interviewed by prosecutors in a probe into the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection at the United States Capitol, with CNN reporting that "the interview was focused primarily on former President Donald Trump, his state of mind and what he knew about the baseless claims of widespread election fraud he was pushing leading up to the January 6 attack." (The Department of Justice later dropped the case. )
Bleep! With Ana Navarro airs weekly on iHeartRadio and major podcast apps. The View continues weekdays on ABC.
