WATCH: Kate McKinnon and Amy Adams Play Cat-Loving Girlfriends in This Purr-fect SNL Sketch
It's pretty safe to say Saturday Night Live never shines brighter than "Whiskers R' We," so thank goodness our favorite cat lady and her latest girlfriend returned last night to brighten our holiday-episode season. Last time we saw we saw Barbara , she was pun-tastically showing off the "eligible cat-chelors" at her cat rescue with Charlize Theron by her side as her desperate-for-affection girlfriend. Now, she's got a new girlfriend played with splendid awkwardness by Amy Adams, who always seems just about to break into a fit of unplanned laughter. And truly, we can't blame her. There are so many quotable soundbites going on that to just list a few would be doing this magnificent video injustice (though "Ashley, I think you know where the cat ends and my boobs begin," might be the winner). The precious, fuzzy, and apparently narcissist/alien/human cats also do some scene-stealing, but no one could ever win us over like Kate McKinnon.
