'Wheel of Fortune' Fans Can't Get Enough of Vanna White and Ryan Seacrest's Pre-Show Ritual

Ryan Seacresthas fit in effortlessly at his latest hosting gig, taking over for Pat Sajakon the beloved game show Wheel of Fortune .
But even though fans love how he and co-host Vanna Whiteinteract, the colleagues are still figuring out their rhythm, down to nailing a pre-show ritual.
In a video posted on March 6 on Instagram by White, Seacrest, and the show's official page, the American Idol host and longtime Wheel of Fortune personality could be seen working on a secret handshake.

They started off the handshake by slapping hands twice, first horizontally then vertically, with Seacrest calling it "a good start" before quickly adding, "We can get better than that."
Seacrest then turned to the camera to show other moves they could do, from waving their hands in the air to slapping their shoes.
In the next clip, the duo did the handshake again, and as White flashed two thumbs up with a wide smile, Seacrest declared, "Showtime!" and the two walked onto the show's stage.
The video was captioned, "No pre-show ritual is complete without a handshake! 🤝 Starting with the basics, what should we add to it?!" and fans were quick to offer their suggestions. "Gotta add a snap 🫰," said one fan, while another asked for a more complicated addition. "Backwards high five like Top Gun . I just love you Ryan. I watch Wheel now since you host," they wrote. "Elbow bump," said a third commenter.
Several fans suggested a fist bump, and one fan responded with a GIF of Lindsay Lohan and Simon Kunzdoing the hip bump from their secret handshake in 1998's The Parent Trap , to which Seacrest responded, "We'll get to this level someday 🤞🏻."
Others expressed their enthusiasm for the pre-show ritual, commenting, "Love it!!!😄🙌🏼" and noting that White "always smiles when she's around him 😃."
