‘XO, Kitty’ Season 2 Sets Release Date; First Look Photos

Season 2 of XO, Kitty, based on characters from Jenny Han’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before books, will premiere on Netflix on January 16, 2025.
The new season will see Kitty returning to the Korean Independent School of Seoul for her second semester, where she will face new challenges and embark on an investigative journey around Seoul.
Showrunner Jessica O’Toole, creator Jenny Han, and executive producer Matt Kaplan are bringing back familiar faces and introducing new characters, including Philippe Lee as Mr. Moon, in the upcoming season of XO, Kitty.

The Korean Independent School of Seoul will soon be back in session, and not-so-star student Katherine “Kitty” Song Covey (Anna Cathcart) will get a whole new semester abroad in Season 2 of XO, Kitty .

Netflix revealed that the sophomore season of the soapy YA series, based on characters from Jenny Han’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before books, will arrive on January 16, 2025.

The announcement video featured a few new faces viewers will meet in Season 2 — Audrey Huynh, Joshua Lee and Sasha Bhasin .

In Season 2 of the spinoff show, Kitty returns to KISS for her second semester in South Korea. Newly single and ready to start over, she aims not to meddle, matchmake, or cause any more drama. She might be open to some casual dating, but she soon finds a new task to commit to when a letter from her mother’s past sets her on another investigative journey around Seoul. New faces will bring change to KISS, and secrets will test strong bonds and friendships. Season 1 was just the beginning of Kitty learning how complicated life, family and love can be.

Last season left off on a chaotic note with Kitty breaking up with her long-term and long-distance boyfriend (until she went to KISS) Dae (Minyeong Choi) because she has feelings for her enemy-turned-friend Yuri (Gia Kim). On the flight back home for the holidays, Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) her frenemy of sorts also confessed that he had feelings for her.

Jessica O’Toole serves as showrunner, executive producer and writer for Season 2 of XO, Kitty , which is executive produced by creator Jenny Han and ACE Entertainment’s Matt Kaplan.

More returning cast includes Anthony Keyvan as Q, Regan Aliyah as Juliana, Peter Thurnwald as Alex, Jocelyn Shelfo as Madison and Michael K. Lee as Professor Lee.

Philippe Lee will also play a new character this season, Mr. Moon.
