  • Manalapan, Florida, has become a popular destination for billionaires, with notable residents including Larry Ellison, Don King, Tony Robbins, and Sean Hannity, and a $84.9 million estate recently hitting the market.

The tiny town of Manalapan, Florida, has  quickly become a favorite  of the billionaire celebrity set. Past and present residents include Oracle founder Larry Ellison, boxing promotor Don King, self-help guru Tony Robbins, and TV presenter Sean Hannity.

You can add yourself to that list with a massive estate with both intracoastal and ocean frontage that just hit the market for an eye-popping $84.9 million. The 23,000-square-foot manse sits on almost two acres of land that Billy Joel  offloaded  to the current sellers in 2018 for $7.5 million, a million bucks more than he paid in 2014. Along with its six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, plus four powder rooms, there is a staggering array of luxuries. Philip Lyle Smith and Carla Ferreira-Smith hold  the listing , which is being offered fully furnished.

The primary bedroom features an bold abstract floral design in a calming neutral color palette.

The lavish residence, a boxy, stark white contemporary jazzed up with a colorful lighting scheme, stands out among its Mediterranean Revival neighbors. Inside, towering walls of glass bookend the great room. Square limestone columns with a wavy, striated design stand between the formal living and dining areas. Nearby, the spacious kitchen has not one but two islands and continues the ultra-modern design aesthetic with white marble accents.

Upstairs, the fireplace-warmed primary bedroom includes an abstract floral design that flows from the wall behind the bed to the ceiling, along with dual bathrooms, while every bedroom with an en suite bath has its own waterfront balcony to boot.

What really makes the place stand out, though, are the countless leisure and recreation options both inside and outside. Among the three floors are a club room for watching TV and playing billiards, a game room equipped with arcade-style driving games, a wine cellar, a movie theater, a two-lane bowling alley, a craft room, and a spa area with a steam room that can fit up to 10.

Two bowling alleys, a movie theateer, and a spa mean you don't have to leave the property for a little fun.

The manicured grounds offer several additional options for relaxing and having a good time. Facing the Intracoastal Waterway is an infinity edge pool surrounded by three different fire features and ample terrace space, both shaded and sun-splashed. Beyond the pool, a manicured, palm tree-dotted lawn stretches out to a 150-foot dock that makes for an easy boarding process when you feel like taking your yacht out for a spin. The estate is divided by South Ocean Boulevard, and a private tunnel leads from the main house, under the street, to a beachfront cabana that, at 1,200 square feet, is believed to be the largest in Manalapan.

Given the secluded neighborhood's increasing cachet with A-listers, these sorts of extraordinarily high-priced offerings are only becoming more common in the sleepy South Florida hamlet. Just a couple of months ago, a similarly sized home down the street, also with both Intracoastal and ocean frontage, recently hit the market for  $87 million .
